Hey, we’re Divya & Alwin!
Chompz was born out of our need to do better for our cats. We live with 4 cats at home and care for several community cats every day. For a long time, we believed that buying the best wet food or dry food in the market was the only way to feed well. But premium commercial food was expensive. So we started making home-cooked meals with boiled chicken, pumpkin, and simple additions.
The problem? Home-cooked food is usually nutritionally incomplete. Our cats were bored, our wallets were empty, and we still weren’t feeding them right.
The real problem wasn’t kibble vs. wet food vs. home-cooked. It was the ingredients. We saw gray-area additives, fillers that cats can’t even absorb, and buzzword formulations that looked impressive but did nothing for our cats. We decided to build something different.

For a long time, we believed the common myth that “dry food or kibble will kill your cat” and carried the guilt of being bad cat parents if we fed them dry food. So we stuck to wet food and boiled chicken. But only feeding wet food was tough as it was super expensive, repetitive, and our cats eventually grew bored of it. This is where we realized our approach to feeding has to be more holistic & has to include different food formats, without burning a hole in our pockets.

Instead of asking cat parents to avoid dry food or overspend on alternatives, we decided to reinvent it by making it healthier, safer, and something we’d proudly feed our own cats.
